April 24, 20215 yr Hi Folks..since I installed latest version, I am getting this endless loop of "checking for updates." Now I did update the FBW A32NX thru its installer, and when it did that it converted all my A320 planes. Other than that I have not added or changed anything. The sim will load if I remove my Community add ons. So it is something in my Community causing the problem. Is it the FBW converts? Does anyone have thought why this is occurring? One side note: I did manage to get the sim to run one time with everything in my Community, including FBW converts, but it just keeps looping on that screen now.
April 24, 20215 yr Check in the MS Store if you have installed the Gaming Services App latest version. It's also a good idea to sign out and sign in again from Xbox Live. I installed GSA (I assume that is all I need to do on my PC) and confirmed all my Xbox apps are up to date. I may have to try to remove Community items until it works again. ugh.
April 25, 20215 yr What do you mean when you say the FBW Updater converted all your A320 planes? The FBW installer adds a new FBW A320 to your aircraft ‘hanger” but does not convert planes. Or are you referring to liveries - in which case that is highly likely to be your problem. Start by deleting all A320 liveries in Community Folder in that case. Converting liveries is not a good idea - too many errors. Go to flightsim.to and find liveries that have been made specifically for the new FBW branch. Converting older liveries just does not work well, even if you use a converter tool. Hi...yes..that seems to be the problem as I removed all folders and items in Community with name A32nx and it launched. When I launched FBW installer to update the A320nx, it asked to convert the liveries automatically. So what the installer did was create an exact replica folder of all my community liveries and called each folder A32nx. That included even folder for planes that are not even A320s. So I think that might be the problem. The odd thing is what does that problem have to do with "checking for updates?" Edited April 25, 20215 yr by knich
