High GPU usage when on ground. (Why?)

What happens if you limit fps to 30 in the sim?

I am Bert.  Vsync set at 30 fps in sim.  Holds 30 perfectly and very smooth at all other times (except over London and other large cities with photogrammetry etc.)

I also noticed it was the same (GPU at 100%) on taxiways and the ramp when at zero speed.  Once you pick up speed it drops to 75%.  Strange, I would expect it to be the opposite way around.

Although I have had the pauses in some areas (due to scenery issues I think), performance is normally very good and smooth - no complaints, and excellent since a few updates back when they made a change to screen display/refresh and the 30 fps vsync in sim started working properly.

My next test will be to try on the ground off-airport (time to get the bush Cessna out! ).

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.
