May 3, 20215 yr Hi all, From flightsim.to I have downloaded many objects to enhance the scenery, Sometimes multiple objects are for the same town. Each of them have there own subfolders ( Contentinfo , scenery etc ) Can I make one folder with the name of the town and put the objects main folders into that one folder ? Or do Contentinfo, scenery etc have to be right away in the main object folder ? Thanks in advance. 5950x3d 5.4-5.7 GHz - Asus ROG 870 Crosshair Apex - GSkill Neo 2x 24 Gb 6000 mhz / cas 26 - MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC - 1x SSD M2 6000 2TB - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 1Tb - Corsair 5400 case - Corsair 360 liquid cooling set - 3x 75’ TCL tv. 13600 6 cores @ 5.1 GHz / 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz (hypterthreading on) - Asus ROG Strix Gaming D - GSkill Trident 4x Gb 3200 MHz cas 15 - Asus TUF RTX 4080 16 Gb - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 2TB - 2x Sata 600 SSD 500 Mb - Corsair D4000 Airflow case - NXT Krajen Z63 AIO liquide cooling - FOV : 200 degrees My flightsim vids : https://www.youtube.com/user/fswidesim/videos?shelf_id=0&sort=dd&view=0
May 3, 20215 yr If you are installing mods and add-ons directly into the Community folder, they must each be copied into their own folder. You can not combine them. And you can not put several mods or add-ons into a subfolder of a folder in the Community folder. The reason is that when MSFS starts, it looks at each folder in the Community folder looking for a "manifest.json" and a "layout.json" file, which tells MSFS what to do with that mod or add-on. MSFS will ONLY look in the folder that is in the Community folder, it will NOT look in any subfolders of that folder. That being said, if you wish to easily manage your mods and add-ons, I highly recommend the Add-ons linker application (https://flightsim.to/file/1572/msfs-addons-linker). This app allows you to store your mods and add-ons in a folder structure of your choosing (outside of the Community folder) and then activate only the mods and add-ons that you wish to use at any one time. Also makes it very easy to remove or add them all to/from the Community folder at any time. Do note that changing which mods and add-ons are active must be done before starting MSFS. One can not make changes while MSFS is running. ...jim ASUS Prime Z790-E, Intel i9 13900K, 32Gb DDR5 Ram, Nvidia 3090 24Gb, Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500 GB and 1 TB, Samsung Odyssey G9 Ultrawide 49" G-SYNC Monitor.

May 3, 20215 yr The big bonus with addon linker is that once you have them installed in folders you can enable or disable the entire folder with one click. Hence you can do things like put all your London scenery in a London folder and all your other Southern England scenery in a second folder and then turn on or off all of London with a single click and do the same for the rest of Southern England. Or enable both folders or disable both folders. As an example I have all my France addons in a folder called France which I enable if I think I might be flying there that evening.
