January 10, 200719 yr I know that when FSX released it was having problems with accepting FS2004 addon scenery. Does anyone know if this has been fixed yet?
January 10, 200719 yr Author The problem I was having was fixed by users. By default, ground polys without altitude information default to 0 ft. Look for terrain.cfg file in the library. This fixes that problem. It also removes a "feature" which caused rocks in rivers. The feature was meant to help in situations where water climbs hillsides on shore, but it causes other issues as well. There's a couple of other fixes in the file as well.Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180 Tom Perry

I have tried several FS9 addons and they don't move over well when it comes to airport either. Some aspects of it were fixed in a patch that was released. However, addon vendors cannot still provide custom runway textures for long runways like they are able to in FS9.I think, I am right.I am hoping ACES would provide a way out soon so custom runway/taxiways can be built for FSX.Manny Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
January 11, 200719 yr Where can I get this patch? As for custom runway textures, Clou9 is releasing a Bergen scenery with custom textures.
January 12, 200719 yr Author what do you set what to?The terrain.cfg file is just a file you have to load into your system, usually at C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication dataMicrosoftFSX.Then just load your scenery addons as you normally would and see if they work. I've found landclass isn't as good because it's not as varied as FSX landclass is.Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180 Tom Perry
