Flight sim alternative to prosim integration software

Hi looking for advice on alternatives to prosim software. It's become very expensive for an occasional armchair enthusiast /cockpit warrior. I'm trying to create, using help from on line tutorials, eg Heli Mechs 737diysim site and videos, Michael Schulz's Flight Deck videos, my own hardware which needs corresponding integration, and all seem to encourage Prosim. Must be alternatives to this, help? 

 Opencockpits + PMDG + OC4BAv5

 

 

I use the iFly Cockpit Builders Edition (CBE).  With the free iFly2Fsuipc the iFly software responds to hardware recognized by FSUIPC.
