May 21, 20215 yr I have a Gigabyte GTX 1050ti GDDR5 4GB card running FSX-SE alone (air cooled) on a 600W PSU. At the moment I can't afford to upgrade to a 1060 or 1070 and certainly not to Ray Tracing. The ASUS nvidia GeForce GT740 DDR3 2GB card that it replaced sits 'wasting' in its box. Is it feasible to reinstall it in the adjacent free PCI express slot and run them together? Are the 'bridges' I read about physical connections, if so where would it/they come from? If I can do this, am I likely to gain any performance - or isn't it worth the time? Andrew Gold
May 21, 20215 yr Seems to me the GPU's must be the same generation and the VRAM must also be the same amount, type, and speed. My computer: ABS Gladiator Gaming PC featuring an Intel 10700F CPU, EVGA CLC-240 AIO cooler (dead fans replaced with Noctua fans), Asus Tuf Gaming B460M Plus motherboard, 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM, 1 TB NVMe SSD, EVGA RTX3070 FTW3 video card, dead EVGA 750 watt power supply replaced with Antec 900 watt PSU.
