Bizarre bug: Screen turns darker and darker, then black

Featured Replies

Waiting for the DC6 in MSFS I reinstalled my p3d v4 (latest version fresh from LM) and the DC6 from PMDG. Halfway through my 1 hour flight all of a sudden my screen is getting darker and darker by the second. During the dimming, I can no longer manipulate anything in the cockpit, but it all works. I can disconnect the AP by clicking my ap disconnect on my joystick and I can see everything responding as it should. But mouse clicks do not work. And then finally, the screen simply turns black. I cannot see anything. I alt enter to maximize the screen, and for a second the sim looks normal, then it turns black again.

What causes this, and what can I do to fix it?

Whenever I pause the sim, and go to the outside view, everything is back to normal until I unpause the sim - then it instantly turns completely black again.

my system: rtx 2080ti, i9-10900k @5ghz, 32gb [email protected], nvme m2, win 10 home, latest nvidia driver.

I got this on XP11 and the Zibo 737 lately.

It turned out it was  just hypoxia and I manage to barely recover a dive from 35000ft down to 4000ft in total blackout 🙂

I don't remember if P3D is also simulating it, but you might want to start checking this one first!

It's a feature of the PMDG DC6, not P3D, to render you unconscious if you forget to give yourself oxygen.
