FSX-Steam to P3D

Featured Replies

I already have a fully set up FSX Steam installation on my C Drive. It includes both GNS Complete and GTN 750. I recently took the plunge into Prepar3d. I chose Version 4.5 due to maximum addon comparability with 64 bit sim.

I installed my P3D on my D Drive (due to limited space on C)

How difficult will it be to install my RXP files into P3D on the different drive? Will I need the Garmin trainers on that drive also? Would I be best off going in my Library on Flight Agent and downloading direct from there or do I need to purchase a whole separate installation?

Thanks

Hi,

If you've purchased the Genuine Reality XP GNS 530/430 V2 and Reality XP GTN 750/650 products, they are compatible from FS9 to P3D5.

You'll just have to launch the RXP installers again and once selecting P3D4 option in the installer (in addition to your already selected FSX-SE option), the installer will take care to copy the files where they should and to automatically create the add-ons entry for P3D4.

The RXP installers automatically detects your already installed Trainers as well and skips these steps.

NB: if you've not manually moved any file, the RXP software installer is already extracted and saved in C:\RealityXP folder. Otherwise you'll have to download the e-commerce enabled installer(s) from our website, run them, enter your F1 credentials and hit the REINSTALL button.

Thanks. My installers should be up to date. I suffered from the January Windows defender update trouble and downloaded new installers. I also made exclusion for DLL32 which defender kept flagging.

Does it mean you're all set and everything is running now?

I have a slightly different situation here...

I have purchased and installed the bundle in XPlane and now downloaded the version for P3D5. However, when starting the F1 e-commerce installer I only get the option to reinstall and the purchase option is greyed out.
When I use the reinstall option and try to connect to my account i get an error (to be expected), because I do not own that product yet.

How can I install my new version of P3D in parallel to the already installed version in XP11?

Thank you for your help.

@Scorpio47

Have you tried again since Saturday (might have been a temporary glitch)?

Still the same here, Jean-Luc......

The purchase button on the left side is greyed out, only a reinstallation is possible....

Please help.

THANK YOU
Juergen

P.S.
All informatio I can find on your and on the F1 websites relates to REINSTALLATION.
I am sure that would work but it is not what I need....
I even opened a new account with F1 for that, but for some reason my email addres and password are already filled in and I cannot change them
