Landmarks appearing as addon content on the map

I think they are landmarks anyway, I have an ICAO showing but its got a line through it and they appear to be representative of default landmarks from the base simulator.  Is there a way to disable on the map?

That is standard symbology for a closed airport. If you look across the river you will see an airport with an X through it. That indicates a closed airport which are always shown in the US in case of emergency.

Asobo decided to use closed airports for landmarks in some cases. No idea why. Next LNM version will filter these dummies out. For now ignore them or hide unpaved airports.

Alex -- I hope you continue to show closed airports as it does now at least in P3D. A closed airport is not a 'dummy' unless ASOBO inserts fake airports.

These dummies are omitted only for MSFS if they are marked as closed, have no runways, no parking and no start positions.

No worries, all other closed airports remain.🙂

ok thanks for replies.........but if these aren't landmarks why do I have this which is Stamford Bridge (Chelsea Football club) showing as STBR right where the Stadium is?  Surely this isn't a "closed airport"

 

How do I hide unpaved airports?  Noob question thanks

For sure not. It will be gone with the next LNM version. These things have no runway and no parking and are useless for flying.

Uncheck "View" -> "Airports" -> "Show airports with soft runways"
