Out of the Blue AAO Weirdness

Featured Replies

Amazing program!  I have not posted much because I have never had an issue.  However as of yesterday I am pulling my hair out.

1. I use HC Alpha and Bravo + MFG Crosswinds pedals in MSFS

2. I use FlightSimFlyBoy's scripts and templates (slightly modified) for the AS CRJ

I flew MMMX to MMUN yester mid morning no problem.  I loaded up into MMUN in the evening for a flight and most things did not work.  Specifically anything to do with scripts.  My scripts were not loaded into AAO.  I said ok, no problem I will reload them and make the small modification I had.  However when I import a script I get the error "Import Failed Configuration System Failed to Initialize"

In other words the scripts disappeared.  I don't see anything in recycle bin and there is nothing reported in Windows Defender, all Lorby folders are excluded from scans.

I don't believe I have a hardware issue because all the buttons and axis show that AAO is seeing it (the sliders move and the Green Radio buttons show up)

I have re-installed v2.07 b12 for MSFS.  Same result.  Any Ideas?

Or either the script handler or the WASM module had a problem at that point.

Did you check in the script editor if the scripts were still there? Did you restart the sim and the app?

I have never seen this before - ever. Can you post a screenshot?

You mean the file that you were importing them from???

  1. Double check if the scripts are really gone (in the Script editor) - or if they are there, but AAO can't execute them. That is not the same thing.

  2. Make sure that the AAO WASM module is present and hasn't been disabled or something
    #MSFS#\Community\lorbysi-content-hooks

  3. Check the Configuration folder for backup files (Check the AAO logfiles for errors (C:\Users\...\AppData\Local\LORBY_SI\LorbyAxisAndOhsMSFS\UserScripts_MSFS_n.xml).
AAO creates three generations of backup files

  4. Check the AAO logfiles for errors (C:\Users\...\AppData\Local\LORBY_SI\LorbyAxisAndOhsMSFS).
At that point it will be better to send them to me by email. Posting entire logs in a forum is not practical. The email address is on the last page of the manual. Remember to provide your proof of purchase - and those scripts that you say you can't import.

I got everything back up and running.  Turns out I had to delete the Lorby_SI configuration folder in appdata/local

1. Yep, the scripts where not showing up. I had to re-import them after the feature began working again after deleting the folder above.

2. AAO WASM module was present the whole time.

3. I checked those and they all had some funny and very basic scripting in them.

4. I will if this happens again.

It all started with a hard freeze of MSFS when entering a flight plan and clearing DISCOS.  The freeze happened 3 times.  Not a CTD, just a stopped working for a LONG time.  I had to restart the PC both times with AAO running still.  This could have caused the issue??? Don't know.  Since I have never had an issue with either AAO, MSFS or the CRJ, I had no clue what to do and still have no clue what caused it.
