June 4, 20215 yr Was flying XP11 with P2A today and all was fine right up to 'contact tower'. Radio tuned, choose "Ready for takeoff Rwy xx". Nothing... Double checked frequency and tried again. Again nothing. Went ahead and took off rather than starting all over. But isnt there a way to re-connect / start while in the air? PS P2A is still 'connected' green light and showing my track on the map. Edited June 4, 20215 yr by UlteriorModem
June 4, 20215 yr Commercial Member You can do the disconnect/reconnect prior to takeoff. Just file and go through the clearance delivery again with Clr Del freq, followed by a call to Ground for Taxi, and if you're already at the runway, you'll get transferred to tower and be back on track. If airborne, you can disconnect/reconnect, file the plan, and make the initial call to Departure or Center. It won't work with a call to Tower. Dave
