MSFS MCE Neo Flows and Checklist installation HELP please

Featured Replies

Hi, guys.  I searched all the forums here and can't find the answer to my question so I hope it's ok to ask here and apologize if I missed a thread somewhere that already covered this.

I have downloaded the MSFS MCE Neo Flows and Checklist installation files by the awesome David Herkey from here on Avsim.  I have followed the directions for steps 1 and 2 no problem.  But unfortunately, I'm stuck on steps 3 and 4.  Below is what is said in the NEO instructions.txt file that comes with it:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"3. Copy the "Asobo_A320_NEO"  Script folders to the Main MCE Aircraft Folder. Usually C/ Program Files86/Multi Crew Experience/Support/Files/Voice Scripts/Copilot/Aircraft/

**ALSO (important this or you wont see the scripts in the VOXSCRIPT overview in the MCE GUI):-

Copy the "Asobo_A320_NEO" Script folder to the "Documents" MCE Aircraft Folder. Usually;-

c/libraries/documents/MultiCrewExperience/MyVoiceScripts/copilot/aircraft/

4. Copy the Sound files from "Sounds" folder to the c/libraries/Documents/MCE/MyvoiceScripts/Sounds.

Allow files to be overwritten,if you get the warning. These are the latest sound files."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, I installed MCE to the default directory (and have been using it for about 2 years so far and loving it so I'm very familiar with the program.)

However, I don't have a "C:\libraries\*** folder.  I've tried to discern and deduce what David is referring to and have looked at the default MCE installation folder and the documents MCE folder and can't figure out what he's referring to.  Is there anyone that can help me find what folder this is so I can finish copying the folders/files to complete this, please?

I appreciate anyone's help with this.  🙂

Hi there. the correct path is: C:\Users\YourUsername\Documents\Multi Crew Experience\MyVoiceScripts\Copilot\Aircraft\Asobo_A320_NEO

the aircraft might not recognize the checklist and flow automatically so you may have to activate them manually. I noticed when i  re installed the latest version a few days ago, that  it points to the  default a320 checklist

Hey, thanks!  I actually already had copied (per the first part of step 3) the Asobo_A320_NEO folder to:  C:\Users\YourUsername\Documents\Multi Crew Experience\MyVoiceScripts\Copilot\Aircraft\Asobo_A320_NEO"

but the second part of step 3 is confusing.  It seems almost as if the step is being repeated but not quite as the verbiage is slightly different so that was throwing me for a loop as I wasn't sure if this was just repeating what was said already above or if it was additional.  Thank you.

So what about step 4?  I have the "sounds" folder ready to copy, and the step says; "4. Copy the Sound files from "Sounds" folder to the c/libraries/Documents/MCE/MyvoiceScripts/Sounds"

Do I just copy the sounds folder to "Documents/MCE/MyvoiceScripts/" or is there supposed to be a "sounds" folder already there to copy this "sounds" folder into because there isn't a pre-existing sounds folder in there right now.  Sorry but the verbiage for this is a little confusing.

Much appreciate the help, thanks. 🙂

Yeah. if the sounds folder is not there, then just drop the one that comes with the file david provided

Thanks Hadi.

Your correct re the file locations. So long as the files are in the documents folder, all should be ok. Myvoicescripts/copilot/aircraft...

There should already be a "sounds" folder there, into which you can add the sounds from the Avsim download. That's just got all my extra cabin sounds and an additional Lufthansa Star Alliance pursor. 😉

Quite a few folks have downloaded this and it seems to be ok.

Anyway, good news is, if you want to make your own flows, you can just copy and paste from the ready made MCE flows. Adding sounds is easy too. Just use any .wav file and from the Vox Script editor in the UI, click on sounds.

If you come across any sound files that aren't .wav files. Download a free program called Audacity. This little gem can convert any sound files to any format. It can also synthesise your sounds, add reverb, echo, speed it up or slow it down. Some time ago I recorded a pre flight briefing and altered it in Audacity. It's great fun. You can get family members to record for you and then alter the voices!

😁
