Unlike Windows search it uses (by default) NTFS indexing and is lightning fast. According to the docs, "A fresh install of Windows 10 (about 120,000 files) will take about 1 second to index. 1,000,000 files will take about 1 minute." I haven't experimentally verified that, but I believe it just based on the performance I've seen. The downside is that it doesn't index content, so it's most useful if you're looking for things by name. But if that works for you, it's great. I just used it to search for a folder named "community" and it correctly located both of my MSFS installs, along with about 160 other folders with "community" in name, literally as fast as I could type. And it did that while searching across 5 different disks holding about 11TB of data and millions of files. I use it all. the. time. Including trying to locate my second MSFS install's community folder when I can't remember where it is. 😄
June 19, 20214 yr Author So I have the addon linker set up and Im assuming it needs to be running for it to work and not shut it down? Camera panning have slight stutters and lag. I’m still trying to figure out the sensitivity in my flight controls. Aircraft Too bouncy. I have developer mode set on cheers mike Edited June 19, 20214 yr by mikeymike

I have developer mode set on cheers mike Addon linker creates virtual links in the community folder that point to the real files. Once that is done you can close it until you need to make changes. Developer mode is used by people creating content. The main reasons to use developer mode in normal flight are to access the FPS counter and to access the plane selection window that lets you swap aircraft while in flight but be warned it can do odd things, which is why they hid it under developer mode. If you are not using those features leave developer mode off as it disables your logbook and disables crash detection.
