Nordic Update Keeps Reinstalling - How to Stop

Featured Replies

I am admittedly a new MS20 user.  Still learning but not a complete moron.

I did all the World Updates including the Nordic one yesterday.  And have flown around Norway some.

So today when I launch the sim, it checks for updates and re-installs the Nordic update.  When I exit the program and relaunch it does the same thing every time. Keeps sucking bandwidth reinstalling the Nordic update.

How does one get the sim to stop reinstalling this update?

First thing I would check is, if the proper path ist set in the Checking for Updates Window. If not it will not find the update in the appropriate place and try anew.

I had this only once, when I reinstalled my system and the old path was still somewhere set. Pointing to the proper new path resolved the issue.

There might be other causes of cause.

Kind regards, Michael

Thanks I will check this when I give it a go later.  Seems odd though given its only the Nordic update, the others seem fine.

Anyway I switch to my Win7 so I will wait and try later.

I totally don't get this.

When the sim starts up I get the welcome screen, and it immediately says "checking for updates".

Finds that it wants to install the Nordic update, and goes through the process.

I checked under every menu item and can't find anything that specifies what folder path is set for checking updates.

I'm totally lost.

I am also experiencing this. And the path is the correct path. If anyone has any ideas we would appreciate the help.

The install process has been challenging for me. I am using the Steam version and it took me 40hrs of "play time" according to Steam to install, uninstall, reinstall, etc. etc. till I finally got it to fly yesterday. Not very enjoyable so far however I am sure there is a light at the end of the tunnel someday.

Thanks for any tips.
