I have several aircraft that when choosing them for a flight ...I get the following message...

_______________________

G:\P3Dv5.1\gauges\dsd_P3D_xml_sound_x64.dll

Config file not found

G:\P3Dv5.1/sound/Callout/sound.ini

Using default

G:\P3Dv5.1\gauges\dsd_P3D_xml_sound_x64.ini

I don't know how to resolve this error.

I'd appreciate any help in straightening this out.

Thanks  Skip D

I´d suggest you install this missing file. You can get it here https://www.douglassdawson.ca/

dsd_p3d_xml_sound_x64, v1.3.0, January 1 2019

The aircraft you installed should also have it. Did you manually port it over to v5.1? Search the files missing on your sim you ported the plane over. I also had problems with this sound file with Flight Replicas planes. A simple reinstall with Anti-Virus off solved the issue for me.

Thanks Dan....

In my 5.1 gauges folder I have the following file....

dsd_p3d_xml_sound_x64.dll

Do I need to add another file in this Gauges folder ?

I had it working perfectly in 4.5....then I just copied/paste all the aircraft to the new v5.

Is that where I went wrong ???

Thanks for your quick response....I'm really lost !!

Seems you have the .dll file. Maybe the .ini is missing. How about installing the plane into 5.1. Often you can only change the path and the installer puts all files where they have to go.

Which aircraft are giving this error?

I downloaded these from a FREEware site.  But....then I copy/pasted them into 5.1..from 4.5.

They were all FSX native freeware aircraft....but they worked fine in v4.5...so I thought they would carryover

to v5.1...

Like you advised...maybe I should re-download them right into v5.1...

I'll give it a try...and let you know !!

Thanks Dan
