January 29, 200719 yr Can someone please point me to a tutorial or explanation as to what the different scenery upgrades are and how they interoperate with each other? How can you tell if buying several scenery upgrades won't cause interference problems?Appreciate any assistanceCheers,Blaster Cheers! Larry (aka WH_Blaster)
January 29, 200719 yr As I see it, mesh is the elevation data for a given point on the ground and land class is the texture that gets drawn at that elevation point, some of which can be photo-real. The term scenery seems to be used quite broadly, but generally refers to a combination of mesh, land class and/or ground objects that covers a particular geographic area (eg. Southern California, Honolulu, etc). The best way to tell whether scenery payware upgrades will conflict is to visit their support forum before purchasing and search for such issues.Gary 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11
January 30, 200719 yr Author Recommend reading the "beginners guide to scenery design" in the scenery desing forum. It gives a good overview of the scenery system. For more, Adam Szofram from the ACES design team has posted a white paper on fsinsider.com with all the details of the scenery system:http://fsinsider.com/Community/Developers-...t+Simulator.htmscott s..
