License Validation Failed

Featured Replies

Hello,
I haven't flown on a simulator for 2 months.
Today, when I want to start P2ATC I have this message:
License Validation Failed:
EmptyKeyOrHdweld
I have my activation key and my e-mail displayed in the P2ATC connection dialog box. I tried to deactivate and reactivate the application, to me it does not work.
Have there been any updates in the last 2 months?
Have you encountered this problem?

One other user had a similar issue and finally resolved it by restarting their PC several times.  Something in the PC configuration was not reporting its value and P2A was unable to calculate a Hardware ID, as the error message states.

If you recently made a change to the PC configuration, you might see if reverting back to the previous configuration will fix the problem.

No, I haven't changed anything in the configuration of my PC.
So if I understood correctly, one day, when I start my pc, I may be able to use P2ATC again ...... or not?

Yes, you should be able to use P2A again.

The other thing you can try is deleting the Settings.xml file located at:

c:\users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\P2A_200\Settings\Settings.xml
where <UserName> is your PC user name.
Then, after shutting down the PC and starting it again, enter your license key and email.  Then try to deactivate the license, followed by trying to activate it.

If that doesn't do it, send me your license key and a screenshot of the activation window after it fails and I will see what it looks like on the server.
