July 2, 20214 yr The Marians map is very nice and very free. Lots of details. The water and shore areas look great. The elevation varies (you might think an island is flat. Only Gilligan's Island, it turns out.) with cliffs and rock formations. There are new types of trees and buildings. Hat's off to recreating the type of housing found there (typhoon proof concrete slab constructed). The new trees apparently cause a giant fps hit when flying low. The solution for now is to set all shadow settings (2 of them) to Flat Shadows. I can live with that. Yeah. I love DCS. I spend more and more time there. Since upgrading my controllers, I can actually fly DCS aircraft now. It's free as is DCS. Give it a try.
