MSFS2020 - Unable to connect to Flight Simulator.

Featured Replies

I need help to get FlightCrew A320 (and Pushback Express) running again. I had bot add-ons up and running until about 2 months ago, when I paused using MSFS.

Some weeks ago i started again. Updated MSFS 2020 to the last version (1.17.3.0), and reinstalled FlightCrew A320 version 1.5 and PushBack Express update version 2.1.

However after starting MSFS, with the FBW A32NX (or ASOBO A320) at the gate, I get, when starting FlightCrew A320, or PushBackExpress, the message 'Unable to connect to Flight Simulator! Please load the host aircraft first then try again'

I have reinstalled the FS2Crew addons, about 5 times now, both as administrator or standard. I have tried to start MSFS 2020 and the add-ons as administrator or standard, several times without succes, and am out of options now. I saw in this forum, a similar topic, but that did not solve my problem.

Maybe important to mention, that in the past 2 months, I uninstalled Prepar3D and add-ons and some leftovers from FSX from the PC.

Other add-ons still running well with MSFS 2020 are FBW A32NX,  FSUIPC, LINDA, and Aivlasoft EFB.

I still have 2 Simconnect versions on the computer,

- Microsoft ESP Simconnect Client v 1.0.20.0

- Microsoft Flight Simulator Simconnect Client v 10.0.61242.0.

I checked for Simconnect.cfg leftovers, but did not find any.

I hope someone is able to guide me in the good direction to get the two FS2Crew add-ons working again.

Best regards,

Reinier

Dear Bryan,

Thanks for your immediate reply. I ran the FixDotNet repair tool twice, but it did not report specific errors. I do have a cab file with all the log fles and dumps, but I don't have enough knowledge to see if there are any errors. I can share the cab file(s) if you want.

I also saw the other thread about the problems with Data XML fle, with the new site. Maybe I should wait until that problem is solved.

I'm not sure it it is the same, because I have the same problem with PushBack Express version 1.2, that I downloaded July 19, 17:00 and installed same date 17:18.

I can see in AppData\Roaming, that FlightCrew A320 has (tried to) read or change the FC_A320_Data.xml file because the date has changed, but it reports it can not load it.

Anyhow, i will follow the other thread.

Thanks,

Reinier

Hi Bryan,

Thanks for your reply.

I think, I caused a misunderstanding on your side, due to a typo. I didn't mean I had "bot-addons", but I meant I had both FS2Crew add-ons, PushBackExpress v2.0 and FlightCrew A320 v1.5, up and running without any problem. End of May I stopped using MSFS, until about 2 weeks ago. Then I started updating MSFS and add-ons. Everything is working, except the two FS2Crew add-ons, that I updated beginning of this week.

Anyhow I wait a couple of days and try again.

Regards,

Reinier
