July 25, 20214 yr When I was playing, I recall getting very high VRAM usage - more than 12GB (but I forget the specific number) when setting LOD to 4 or more in the config file. It made me think it was good that I had a 3090. Incidentally, that also used a lot of main memory as well. My impression was that LOD was the main consumer of VRAM. I’m somewhat hopeful the next performance update makes higher LOD possible with decent frame rates at 4K.
