July 25, 20214 yr I just bought LECO via Orbx. I like to practice SIDS and STARS from the airports I buy, but this Vpt RWY 03 approach puzzles me. It is a visual approach, but how am I supposed to start where? In particular: how to fly from where 114 degrees to CO401 with only VOR and DME? And I approach at 3500 feet? July 25, 20214 yr **N.B Using Navigraph charts nomenclature** VPT 03 (12-1A) is dependant on approach 12-1 "RNP RWY 03" VPT stands for "Visual approach with Prescribed Tracks". So if you look at 12-1 "RNP RWY 03" you will see that IDOTU (IAF) is the fix that you should fly outbound 114 degrees. There is a mandatory crossing restriction at 5000ft at IDOTU. This is a rather interesting approach, energy mgmt is key here if you want to lose altitude according to suggested profile without exceeding 160kt IAS. Also add a short 2NM final approach leg. Cool approach, little unusual than your 3 degree ILS 🙂 EASA PPL SEPL + NQ / CB-IR in progress MSFS24 | X-Plane 12
