Can PBR be turned off at LatinVFR's KFLL?

Featured Replies

Can't seem to find the answer to this question. I'd like to install LatinVFR's KFLL again, as I like the airport, but the PBR textures eat up a huge chunk of my VRAM and I'm just not so much a fan of this airport that I'm willing to sacrifice that VRAM for it. I have the 'no PBR' version installed for LatinVFR's KMIA, but wasn't sure if a similar option exists for KFLL? Any ideas?

It can't really be turned off, but I believe there was a non-PBR version of the scenery provided right?

Yes you're right! When you mentioned it I decided to have a look in my list of downloads in the LatinVFR store and found it there. Thanks!

Make sure you install the latest version as there was a CTD introduced with v5.2.

Also, I think with that version it was stated you can have either with PBR or with sloped runways

The LatinVFR store gives you version 1.2 to download, so it should be the latest. The options are the standard release or "no PBR, no sloped runway"

Sorry maybe I did not remember correctly but not sure I understood why the sloped runway is tied with the PBR capabilities

From what I understood  the slopes runway caused significant FPS  decline for some and the module required to get AI to use the slope makes P3D crash, so they got rid of it. Though I’m not sure why it only seems to have made it into thr no PBR version…

Hi Ben -- just FYI, while the sloped AI in LatinVFR needs to be deactivated, the sloped runway works fine using the new built-in sloped runway function now native in P3D. In fact, it helps at MMUN also on the bridge between runway 12L and the terminal.
