July 28, 20214 yr Hello After MSFS SU5 in P2A I no longer can change the frequency. Whatever I pick a frequency from the list. I see it change on the radio but after a second it immediately becomes overwritten by previous frequency that is ADIS. I'm suspecting default in sim ATC is taking over. It happened to me at KJFK / CRJ7 Edited July 28, 20214 yr by Th3PerfectOn3
July 28, 20214 yr Commercial Member Most likely you have not turned off all the ATC features in MSFS. Options -> Assistance->Piloting->Delegate ATC To AI - OFF Options -> Assistance->Navigation Aids->Route & Waypoints - OFF Options -> Assistance->Navigation Aids->Taxi Ribbon = OFF Options -> Assistance->Navigation Aids->Landing Path - OFF Options -> Assistance->User Experience->ATC UI Panel Open at Start - OFF Options -> Assistance->User Experience->Show Message Log in ATC Menu- OFF Options -> Assistance->User Experience->ATC Voices - OFF
August 3, 20214 yr @Dave-Pilot2ATC - I think some of those options have changed in SU5. A bigger problem I have now with MSFS 2020 is that Pilot2ATC no longer seems to recognise my squawk code. I set the code, then click Ident, but when I check in, the controller keeps asking me to set the squawk code that is already set. This was fine prior to SU5. Because of this, I can no longer complete a flight with Pilot2ATC and MSFS 2020. Not Pilot2ATC's fault, I know - just one of the many things broken with SU5, but I thought you should know in case you didn't already 😀 Ah well, back to X-Plane where it works flawlessly!
August 3, 20214 yr Commercial Member Did you try setting the squawk code in both the aircraft and P2A? That might get P2A to see it correctly. Dave
