July 29, 20214 yr Haven't even downloaded SU5 yet. I try running FS2020 from my start menu, get a window briefly, then it disappears. Then nothing. Microsoft Flight Simulator shows up in task manager.... but no application to be seen. Anybody had this issue? July 29, 20214 yr Author Okay, it appears the program didn't like something running in my msconfig --> services. I hid all microsoft services and then clicked disable all on the remaining services. Flight simulator then started normally.
