August 1, 20214 yr Good evening, Ladies and Gentleman, and welcome to America's hottest new game show, the Flight Sim Quiz Show. Here's how the contest works. You'll be given a quotation, and you have to decide whether that quotation comes from a user of MSFS, P3D, or X-Plane. Answers are down at the bottom, but don't look until you've mentally chosen an answer. A few of the questions may have more than one answer. Good luck, Captains. Post your score below. "I think these Orthos make the sim look better, but they sure take up a lot of disk space." "It's Thursday, so we should be seeing the new screen shots any minute now." "How come the development team never communicates with us anymore?" (Could have more than one answer.) "We seem to need a lot more VRAM since DX12." "Just wait until our sim developers team up with Google Maps!" "Did you hear what Lionel said on the live stream?" "With only a thousand dollars worth of add-ons from ORBX and REX and Envtex, our sim can look just as good as theirs." "I just wish we had seasons." (Could have more than one answer.) "What has Austin been working on?" "My last flight wasn't saved in my logbook!" "I'm glad we finally got sloped runways." "I think Vulkan helped." "Installing these updates shouldn't be a three-step ordeal!" "They're more interested in defense contracts than improving our sim." "Don't forget to delete the Shaders folder." "Don't forget to remove everything from the Community folder." "Maybe our sim isn't as pretty, but it has the best flight models." "The autopilot is trying to kill me!" "Oh no, the newest update broke my add-ons!" (May have three answers.) "Does VNAV work yet?" "At least we have buildings at the airports now." "I only use sims that fly helicopters in VR on Linux." "These volumetric clouds look pixelated." "Should I do a complete reinstall or just the Client?" "I'm happy PMDG is starting to provide aircraft for our sim." August 1, 20214 yr As one of those people who has all 3 sims (and AFS2!) and has moments of joy and struggle with them all this brought a chuckle! 🙂

August 2, 20214 yr 23 minutes ago, David Mills said: I forgot about AFS2. When I first saw this, I had a flashback to the 90's and the old AS2 (Airline Simulator 2) from Nomisoft based on the old sublogic Flight Assignment: ATP. I remember how exciting it was when they released 3DAGS for it that allowed you to view it in 3D with old movie-style two color 3D glasses! It's amazing how far flight simulation has come.
