What do you think of the King Air 350i

Featured Replies

Hi all, I have just tried my first flight in the King Air 350i. It looks a great aircraft but my impressions flying it were not so good.

Now i am not a flight sim expert so am happy to concede to the experts on here but I felt it wasnt quite right. This is the problem with MSFS right now, you are left wondering if you are at fault, your controls are at fault or the game has a fault.

The aircraft seems to take off like a rocket, but there is hardly any difference between 10% throttle and 90% throttle. The audio also remains the same, and it only changes if you go from 90% to 100% throttle.

When coming in to land, it appeared reducing the throttle made no difference- the audio remained the same too, so I could not slow the aircraft down. It feels like the throttles are stuck open and the sound does nothing to help.

Perhaps its just me not being a very good pilot, but it does not feel like it is easy to fly ...or land

Please let me know your thoughts?

The stock king air is a disaster.  For starters they've not put the correct avionics in....  it's using the G3X basically....but the real (current) one is the Pro Line Fusion.  Many of the switches are inop.  Flying....well....  it does fly lol.

Let's just say....it's not you hehe.

I'd try the TBM9 instead - at least with the WT G3000, and some mods, it does work quite a bit better.
