Unable to set assigned voice

Featured Replies

Hello, today I am unable to set assigned voices for controllers, the drop down box for each controller remains blank ????

Windows 10 contains numerous text to speech voices such as David, Zira, Hazel but I do not succeed to assign them to a specific controller.

Thanks for your help

The dropdown lists the Desktop SAPI voices that are installed in Windows.

The dropdowns for the individual controllers should list the same voices as are listed when you Add or Edit a Random voice.  Initially, the Random voices should be all the installed voices.

You can run the program without assigning any voices.  In fact, the only voice to assign would be the copilot voice.  Then check the Use Random Voices option in the Random Voice Settings box. If you can’t set the copilot voice, try running the program anyway and see if the voices work at all.

Polly voices are hit and miss anyway due to the AWS Amazon Polly for Windows software.  You may have to restart P2A several times to get them to work.

Thanks Dave, actually I have uninstalled and reinstalled pilot2atc and reactivated licence and it worked for 2 hours, then I could not get any controller voice???

Same for copilot....

When I run the program without assigning any voices, I have no voices (even ATIS)

Second problem: when I close pilot2atc and load it again, I loses all the settings???

I think the software is corrupted, what shall I do?

I may send you the log file.

I would delete the AppConfig.xml file, if it exists, as it may be corrupt.  A new one will be built when you make settings.  It is located at:

c:\users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\P2A_200\Settings\AppConfig.xml

where <UserName> is your PC user name.  Portions of the path may be hidden by default, so be sure Windows Explorer has Show Hidden Items checked in the View tab.

If that doesn't fix things, I would uninstall Pilot2ATC and delete the install folder, then reboot the PC.

Then download a fresh copy of Pilot2ATC and do a fresh install.
