August 19, 20214 yr Since SU5 the autopilot on both aircraft is totally unusable. Does anyone else have this problem
August 19, 20214 yr I have not detected any problems with the autopilot in either the Warrior or Turbo that I use frequently, I have the latest versions and use GTN-750 avionics in both, so you probably have some conflict with some other ad-on in your community folder. August 19, 20214 yr You have not described your problem, but one issue I had was they fixed a bug where, in the past, you only needed the A/P switch "ON" and the selector on "NAV" for GPS mode or "HDG" for heading mode to engage the autopilot. This was of course incorrect. In the real aircraft you would also have needed the heading switch to "ON" . They fixed this around the time of SU5 but it took me a fair while to work out they had changed it. For example - to use the AP in GPS mode you now need to: switch the source to "GPS" instead of VOR switch the selector to "Nav" or "Omni" (either works) set the the "HDG" switch to "ON" set the "A/P" switch to "ON"   Edited August 19, 20214 yr by Glenn Fitzpatrick
August 19, 20214 yr I was having the same problem as the OP assuming the HDG ON switch was only used when flying in heading mode. Thanks for clearing this up. Glen Â
August 19, 20214 yr I’d be more concerned that you fly the Warrior, the most docile beast of all, with an autopilot?!!Â
August 19, 20214 yr Author That's my point Doug, it takes so long to get from A to B at my age I fall asleep 😀 On the more serious side, I think I found my problem. As I use FSUIPC I unassigned all the necessary MSFS Controls. But as usual with updates, personal settings sometimes get changed and I found my Rudder Pedals re allocated in MSFS even with Reverse ticked. So now with that corrected all seems fine for now. Thanks all for your help and I will always use the order suggested by Glen.
