August 28, 20214 yr Good Afternoon UK time. I have continued trying to get A&O working within MSFS 2020. This morning, I completed a full, clean install of A&O's 2.11, followed the instructions for the Bridge installation, I believe "good so far". Switched on the VRinsight Boeing style Combo 2, Started MSFS 2020 with the FBW A320 on the runway at EGDD, started A&O, then the bridge. I was able to add the VRI panel with the correct port - port 5 and it appeared to work. On pressing the green connect button in the bridge window, it connected and then shut itself down. I then expected to be able to press a button in A&O but it "just sat there". I am clearly missing something, but cannot determine for myself what I am doing incorrectly 😞 Any prod in the right direction would be most welcome should any such item be suggested. Thanks kindly. Maurice. Very Best Wishes, Dr T. Maurice Murphy
August 28, 20214 yr Commercial Member Hello, - is AAO running "As Administrator"? - Has the WebAPI been enabled in the "Tools" menu of AAO? - Do you have a template for the plane that you want to use the VRI with? The input from the bridge is received just like any other joystick button, meaning it won't -do- anything unless you make an assignment in the Button list. Or download and apply a suitable template. Yes indeed, following a request guenseli sent me a couple - one for the FBW A320. OliverI have "temporarily" stopped with AAO and am looking at FSUIPC 7 and Spad.Next complete, but thanks very much for the response. BR Maurice. It is not supposed to shut down, the bridge program has to be running all the time. Unfortunately I don't have any VRI hardware, so I can't afford an opinion - best ask guensli, he definitely has the MCP (the Bridge was made at his request). If another program on your computer is blocking port 9080 you need to change it, in AAO and the Bridge (6080 seems to work most of the time). LORBY-SI
August 29, 20214 yr Author Thanks kindly for the response Oliver. I really must give A&O a short break. Yes, confirmed that "it" was the bridge and suspected maybe the O&O port was a potential. I therefore closed both firewall and Virus Checker, no change. I will try another port, but first I must catch up with flying 🙂 I very much enjoy other activities using A&O and will continue to use it for these aspects. It is undoubtedly worth [much more] than the price I paid, I just have both Boeing and Airbus items from VRInsight and hoped to be able to use them in MSFS 2020. They still both perform well in P3D [V4 & V5] I will speak to guenseli somewhen downstream, but for now I must enjoy MSFS "as is" - no harm done. Again, thanks for your interest and responses, I am grateful. All the best. Maurice. Very Best Wishes, Dr T. Maurice Murphy
