August 31, 20214 yr On two extremely long overnight flights (14 hours), I have come across the situation where RC4 stops working after having been left to do its thing overnight. I leave the sim running and in the morning pick up where I left off for the approach and landing. (RC4 pauses as it should and then I un-pause and continue). This morning I had a CTD as my memory had run out (7.1 of 7.1, have now reduced settings a bit). Prior to that I got a clearance to descend and cross 40 m from ***, but after that nothing. My question is, is RC4 also affected by memory loss, shortage, or whatever you want to call it? If not, why would RC4 suddenly stop issuing instructions and the Simconnect window freezes and doesn't update. Reading what I have written, I wonder if it is not Simconnect that is affected? August 31, 20214 yr Moderator Ian, I haven't used that feature in years and never in P3D. Try a short flight with the same "pause at x" option set. Maybe others who use the feature can comment. September 4, 20214 yr Author OK. Seems to have been a once-off. Almost certainly a Simconnect problem as I had a problem with another program using Simconnect yesterday. I re-installed SC and all is well again with RC$ and the other program.. Intel i7 6700K @4.3. 32gb Gskill 3200 RAM. Z170x Gigabyte m/b. 28" LG HD monitor.
