September 3, 20214 yr I have successfully used and enjoyed this MOD in the past and completed several long flights, the latest being from KORD to RJAA last month, not anymore since SU5. I am running the latest update. I am experiencing the following: The IRS won't align or to be more accurate, the PFD will remain with no horizon coloured yellow/blue background, all other indications are there, the IRS is shown as green and "aligned" in the Heavy IRS FMC page, pressing "instant" align won't do anything. No indication on the EICAS of any kind, all displays are there but indicating 0 including the tanks (when they have been filled according to the FMC) Engines cannot be started when loading the aircraft C&D. Neither will they run if I load the aircraft on the runway ready for take-off. All EICAS indicators are showing 0 although the aircraft is properly configured for takeoff. I re-downloaded the MOD on Github, to no avail. Has anyone else faced similar difficulties and is there anything I am missing that would have changed recently and that I am not aware of? Thanks for any assistance. Bernard CPU = 12900K / GPU = Nvidia 3090 VRAM 24 GB / RAM = 64 GB / SSD = 2 TB 980 PRO PCle 4.0 NVMe™ M.2,
September 3, 20214 yr I'm flying right now, for the 1st time ever, and w/ the latest HD MOD installed. I got thru pushback, started the engines using the Ctrl-E cheat, but the EICAS was not displaying but the engines were running yet I could hear them. I started to taxi however the aircraft didn't want to turn nearly enough despite the same inputs used for other planes in MSFS. So I went into SLEW mode to rotate 80 degrees, but I had forgotten I had assigned SLEW to TQ axis and when I turned SLEW off the plane was moving fast, and just took off by itself! So enabled AP, had LNAV/VNAV selected, and off she went, and EICAS was displaying correctly! I'm not seeing a moving map, just the image of where I was at the gate at KDEN. I'm used to flying the PMDG birds but this one is new to me so I'm fumbling around as you can tell. September 3, 20214 yr Author Thank you Noel for your feedback, at least your EICAS is working and showing data, mine is C&D, no data of any kind - not even fuel quantities -, your PFD is like mine, but you do have both engines, I can't get one to start, and this is not user knowledge that's missing... The plane is on APU and it is correctly set electrically speaking, still scratching my head! September 3, 20214 yr FWIW, I decided to try the unmodded current version and it's way better than the current modded version. The only real oddity is initial taxi is bizarre it's acting like despite being pushed fully back wheel chocks are place because I had to rev the engines all the way up to start rolling. Were there wheel chocks as that would explain it? After rolling I could ground steer and adjust speed for taxi just fine. I followed a departure procedure out of KDEN to KPHX w/ LNAV & VNAV, all's well so far. Beyond a few controls this seem far better than the current HD mod, so I removed that until they can update it for SU5, which clearly it has not been done. The moving map is working now and really this plane is not half bad.
