What's up with pink liveries?

Featured Replies

Many ground planes are pink until you get close to them.

Is there a fix for this?

This is NOT a WU6 issue as it started before 6 and hoped 6 would fix.

I've seen it too. My best guess is that the livery author did not implement LOD's correctly. Only solution for now is to disable those liveries and wait for an update from the author.

Thanks Jim..most of my liveries are from Megapack.  But I have some from others too.  It will be alot of fun trying to figure that one out.  LOL.

The megapack was pretty good initially, but I've stopped using it. Instead, I just grab liveries from Flightsim.to, making sure that they are SU5 compatible (and I also filter them using the "Real-life" tag). The really nice thing about Flightsim.to, is that you can go to "My Downloads" and it will show you everything that has been updated since you last downloaded it. Makes it easy to keep up to date. I had a bunch of liveries downloaded prior to SU5. I deleted them from my Community folder and as each is updated I redownload them and add them back. (I do use the Addon Linker). For this LOD problem, when I see one I get close so it shows properly, then note which livery it is. Once done the flight, I go and delete it from my Community folder. If the author releases an update to fix the issue, then it will show up in Flightsim.to's My Uploads page and I can redownload it and add it back.

That's a good idea.

I would delete the megapack but I use PSXseecon Traffic.  To get the liveries to park in the correct spots, you have to edit the aircraft.cfg and put in the correct ICAO code.  So was hoping to avoid doing that again...
