September 9, 20214 yr We are quite a few here to be amateur of a good mesh. And we judge the mesh looking at ridges and peaks. Guilty as charged, I just did that in the screenshot forum. Be unhappy with morphing and so on and so forth. There is another perspective. I am in a series of flights along the Danube river from its source in Donaueschingen, Germany. I am impressed by the finesse of the WU6 mesh in a non-mountainous environment. We see the river flowing through the shallow valleys it has created over millenia with villages over the shores. A great lesson in physical but also human geography. September 9, 20214 yr Indeed. I flew in my home area where there is a small word not allowed that is helping to constrict the local river's alluvial plain. It is really nothing spectacular. But with the improved german DEM it is clearly visible. Edit: What the...? Did I mention that I find forums with language filters incredibly vexing? "We are family friendly.... gna, gnah, gnah..." It's so patronizing... Especially considering that the average flight sim enthusiast is male and over 50. We don't need to be protected from swear words by a filter. Especially when said filter can't tell a swear word from a wall that holds back water... Edited September 9, 20214 yr by Farlis
September 9, 20214 yr One of the key reasons I purchased the various payware mesh available is the details of normal terrain. Roads and rivers match the terrain better and you suddenly realise why some airfields have a displaced threshold that made no sense with the normal mesh.
