GE Pro v2 is not for FSX... yet. It was designed for FS2004 and works very well in it. I don't notice a change in framerates compared to default textures. I do notice a considerable improvement in the way the ground looks compared to default and also notice that the way autogen objects are placed is much more in keeping with their associated textures. There are numerous large screenshots on their website so you can see for yourself there. One of the biggest advances with GE Pro v2 though was the integration with Active Sky v6.5 so now when I start up the computer I first start Active Sky, get the current weather for where I am planning on simming (or load an older weather file if I want to fly a specific date in time), use Active Sky to load sky and cloud textures to match the weather report, then press a button and GE Pro installs ground textures that also match the weather conditions better.Even if you don't use Active Sky you can still access weather files using GE Pro and just install the ground sets that match the weather better. You also get user configurable night lighting so you can pretty much configure the sim to look as close to satellite/photo ground cover as is currently possible.
