Help, i've got black screen

Featured Replies

Hi,all was working well, in fact very well. Then I pushed the resize window on the FSX screen during flight, now I can't reload a flight, all i get is sound of engines and a black screen. I've tried alt+enter, plus resizing, but nothing.I've just tried the "repair" function on the disk, but to no avail.any suggestions?

That happens to me on occassion but usually whilst in full screen. I usually hit the window key (with the windows logo) and the alt-enter which puts it in windows mode. Make sure you give focus to FS before hitting alt-enter.On the other hand, this maybe a video driver issue. Ian.

There's a serious problem going on with FSX and going in and out of windowed mode. It crashes a lot. Better to save a mode, fully exit and then come back in fresh later. Hopefully this will get fixed down the road.Lee

Not quite sure what you mean when you say "Pushed the resize window on the FSX screen", but if you possibly resized your 3D view window down to nothing (or moved it off the "screen"), then try opening another view window from the Views menu and see if that helps. If all else fails, deleting the FSX.CFG file and letting FSX rebuild it will generally fix this sort of problem.

happened to me the other day, a delete/rebuild of the fsx.cfg file did it, remember to save that old fsx.cfg file to apply any tweaks you may have...cheers
