September 29, 20214 yr Commercial Member Hello @ll, AxisAndOhs 2.20 has been released today. It should be available on SimMarket already, JustFlight should hopefully follow tomorrow. Changes in AxisAndOhs version 2.20 Main change: Offline mode. You don’t have to connect to the sim when working on templates or configs. Main change: AAO looks for the running sim process now before connecting or shutting down (this used to be problematic with MSFS for some users) Change: Exporting templates by controller Change: RPN: (SCRIPTFILE:) command Change: RPN: (CHECKLIST:) (CONVERSATION:) TextToSpeech checklist system, so you can create your own audio checklists. Change: RPN: VOICE, VOICERATE and VOICEVOLUME are global parameters now Change: RPN: two new ops: lldist and llbrg (distance and bearing between two lat/lon points) Change: RPN: (SOUND:) and (SOUNDLOOP:) can play audio in parallel now (so you can have some background sounds and then play the flight attendant announcement on top of them). Bugfix: Axis dialogs not recognizing trigger events Bugfix: MIDI axis not working correctly with virtual keys Bugfix: Script initialization delay can lead to exceptions “unknown RPN op” Bugfix: Repeating “button” events over WebAPI (StreamDeck) Please allow me a few words about the main features of this change: The OFFLINE MODE allows you to use AAO without the sim. That way you can work on configurations or profiles (or checklists and conversations) without having to run the sim all the time. Personally I also use it to send virtual key input to apps other than the sim (= I use a joystick axis as gear shift in a driving game) The SCRIPTFILE, CHECKLIST and CONVERSATION systems are all based around text files where you just write RPN scripts in every line. SCRIPTFILE will just process the whole file, one line of RPN script code after the other. That way you can build quite complex functionality without having to use multiple RPN scripts in AAO. With CHECKLIST the app will wait on each line for a specific action (button press, voice command) before it processes the next line. So you can use the TTS system to make your FO read checklist items to you that you then confirm. And CONVERSATION is a mixture of the two, for example captain and first officer doing "read and do" checklists = reading the items, pushing the buttons, confirming (if you are familiar with the legacy Aerosoft Airbus products, they had the same thing going on). Testers are using these options in two ways currently: either as and on-going conversation to have passenger compartment sounds at the appropriate points in time, or with the TTS system as "read-and-do" checklists. There are simple to follow examples about how to create checklists, and I hope that it won't be long before people will upload more complex implementations to the usual websites...
