October 18, 20214 yr Hi, I don't know if someone else has noticed such a P3Dv5.2HF1 strange prop AI aircraft behaviour, but in my system really happens every time a (turbo)prop takes taxi-out instructions by ATC.The aircraft follows a ground tear-drop like itinerary not hesitating to bump into buildings and, if necessary, out of the airfield premises at a very slow turn rate, before it makes it to follow the nearest taxiway on course to the runway in use. This occurs with AI aircraft like OSP ATRs, TFS DHC-8, and smaller props. And surely it did not occurred in FS9 or FSX. I have installed both AI Ground and AI Flow, but I very much doubt if it is their fault. Any ideas why this happens ? Thanks, Sotiris. Sotiris Stavrakis
October 19, 20214 yr Yes, some of the AI turboprop planes have stupidly wide turning circles. This is not a problem specific to P3Dv5, as I have seen it for years in earlier versions of P3D. Quite why they are not able to "spin around" like the airliners is one of those great mysteries of the modern world. October 19, 20214 yr Author Thanks for your reply Christopher. From what you say, I understand it is actually a P3D glitch. Thanks again. Sotiris. Sotiris Stavrakis
October 19, 20214 yr Author Christopher, Following some tests, I found that using simulation rate 4x, the props taxi-out more or less like the jet airliners. Returning to normal rate, the aircraft resume the slow and very wide turn. Tweaking aircraft.cfg could have some improvement ? Just wondering. Sotiris Stavrakis
