October 21, 20214 yr Hi, I received my fulcrum one yoke yesterday and am very happy with quality. I have plugged it in to a USB-port and windows 10 immediately found and installed the device as a gaming controller. I calibrated it in Windows as per instructions. I own MSFS through steam and I checked that Steam is also seeing the fulcrum one yoke in controller options there. But neither MSFS nor DCS is finding the fulcrum one yoke. Anything I've missed here??
October 21, 20214 yr They really should detect it. Is the yoke listed as a Game Controller in Windows? Flightsim rig: CPU: AMD 5900x | Mobo: MSI X570 MEG Unify | RAM: 32GB G.Skill Trident Z Neo | GPU: Gigabyte RTX 3090 | Storage: M.2 (2 & 4 TB) | PSU: Corsair RM850x | Case: Fractal Define 7 XL Display: Acer Predator x34 3440x1440 | Speakers: Logitech Z906 Controllers: Fulcrum One Yoke | MFG Crosswind v2 pedals | Honeycomb Bravo Quadrant |Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant | Stream Deck XL & Plus | TrackIR 5 Tobii eye tracking
October 21, 20214 yr Author SOLVED: I had to right-click on Microsoft flight simulator in the Steam library, went to properties, controller and there disabled Steam input. MSFS immediately found the Fulcrum one Yoke afterwards. Cheers.

October 25, 20214 yr @tutmeister Hi Chris, please let me piggy back in this thread: I now finally have managed to setup the Fulcrum hardware-wise (feels lovely); but MSFS is acting weird. Let me give you some details: System: Windows 10 (PC: i6700K, 64 GB Ram, 2080Ti) // MSFS Premium Edition (MS Store; not Steam) 1. the yoke is recognized & I calibrated it in the Windows settings as per Fulcrum installation/setup instructions. 2. MSFS recognizes the Fulcrum, and pitch (Y axis) works like a charm. But what-ever I do, I cannot get roll (X axis) recognized. There is a bar shown below the field displaying the button/axis chosen (of the primary surface controls group, it is the "central pitch control" (translated from German)). While they Y axis bar shows a half-filled white bar, the X axis remains empty, and doesn't react when I turn the yoke - but the Y axis detects any pitch movement instantly. 3. The input displayed is joystick L - X axis. I usually applied X axis and left the second field empty, because the same works for the Y axis, but also tried applying bother X axis+ and X-axis - to the two fields, to no avail. 4. I have checked the other controls for conflicts, removed one, still didn't do the trick. I finally physically disconnected the other devices (Logitech rudders, Honeycomb bravo quadrant), still no improvement. 5. The Windows controller box (from the printers & devices settings menu) will show the proper movement of both the Y and X axis'. 6. Looking from outside at the plane, I noticed something weird - while the Y axis movements are reflected in the movement of the yoke in the cockpit, I cannot see any corresponding movements on the ailerons (shouldn't the same ailerons point both up or down when pitching ?). Not sure this is relevant here. 7. Fortunately I still have the to be replaced Logitech yoke here, and I re-connected it - it shows the same joystick L X&Y axis' and here both work. Do you have any clue what is going on here ? Clearly the yoke does work on a physical level, and Windows recievs the finformation for both axis'. I am really struggling to undertsand what is going on. You help is appreciated.

Just for reference, here is what I have for the Fulcrum Yoke setup in MSFS: If I pull back on the yoke to increase pitch, the Elevator white bar increases to the right, and vice versa if I decrease pitch. If I 'roll' to the right, the Aileron white bar increases to the right, and vice versa for rolling to the left. In an a/c external view, the ailerons move as expected (right aileron up and left aileron down for a right turn and the opposite for a left turn). One thing you might check is the MSFS Sensitivity settings for the yoke -- make sure they are reasonable and that something did not get set to some extreme value somehow. Also note there are 3 versions of the X axis input: JOYSTICK L-AXIS X, JOYSTICK L-AXIS X+ and JOYSTICK L-AXIS X- I think you want to use just JOYSTICK L - AXIS X without the + or - on the end . October 25, 20214 yr Hi Al, thanks for posting these - I will try the sensitivity settings. But otherwise I already covered what you describe, also played around with all three of the JOYSTICK L-AXIS X, JOYSTICK L-AXIS X+ and JOYSTICK L-AXIS X- in different combinations. The bar under the X axis is sometimes not even being shown, and if it is, it remains grey and no white inner bar is to be seen. Your picture shows it exactly as it should be... wish I had that too.

Wonder if something with your sim install is corrupted? As I understand it, all the controller profile settings are stored in a wgs folder which, for a standard install of the MS store ver of the sim, is located here: C:\Users\your-name\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\SystemAppData\wgs\ You could try renaming the wgs folder to something like wgs_bkup to back it up, and then restart the sim to see if the folder is rebuilt and if so if you get any better results setting up the Fulcrum yoke. Another thing you could try before trying to rebuild the wgs folder would be to delete the compete Fulcrum profile, shutdown the sim and then restart it and see if you get any better results setting up the Fulcrum yoke in a new profile. Or just try setting up a new Fulcrum profile under a different name. Al Edited October 25, 20214 yr by ark
October 25, 20214 yr Commercial Member Sorry for missing your post today and thanks to our customers for trying to help! I know you have confirmed that this: 22 hours ago, Axacuatl said: 5. The Windows controller box (from the printers & devices settings menu) will show the proper movement of both the Y and X axis'. Do you have any other games or simulators that you can try the yoke with? If it is working in the game controller screen then we know that the hardware is working properly. Could you provide a screenshot of your controller settings please? If it is easier then you can send to our email [email protected] Are you using the Steam version? October 26, 20214 yr I managed to resolve it - the MSFS controller menu only displayed the two entries (pitch and roll) which made me wonder why it didn't offer any of the buttons; which led me to have another look: the filter was automatically set to display only those settings which had been allocated to a certain function. When I set the filter to all, I discovered more settings for the roll control, and when applying the joystick L X axis to those, it finally worked ! No idea what the "central" roll axis setting is suppose dto achieve but it was a kind of a red herring here. The confusing thing is, for pitch MSFS had allocated the Y axis in these "hidden" settings, just not for roll. Still need to actually use the yoke in a virtual flight, but the prep is supposed to be part of the fun, isn't it (no, it ain't, mapping buttons to settings/functions is always pretty tedious). Thanks for the swift responses & assistance anyhow !
October 26, 20214 yr Commercial Member Hopefully the profile for buttons will be included soon but thanks for persevering with it. Glad you got it sorted out!
