Airplane Heaven Spitfire Ground Handling SU6

Recommended Posts

Just wondering am I the only one after SU6 that can't turn the AH Spitfire on the ground anymore?  When I move the rudder peddles in a turn they return back to the neutral position while I'm still holding them left or right.  Makes turning almost impossible.

Just finished a flight a short time ago and notice the same. Normally I'd turn the rudder and tap the brake on the same side  to spin the tailwheel but it proved very hard to do. It worked just fine previous to SU6.

You can turn the old (unrealistic) rudder control back on if you want.

This what they said about the changes in SUV1.5 over on the MS main forum:

With SUV1.5, you have differential braking. Apply brakes and then rudder. It’s tricky but it does work. If people don’t want to learn the process, they can click on the brake gauge glass and the system will be disabled, returning to (non-realistic) rudder control for steering. They ave fixed some of the taildragger issues in SU6 and our castoring tailwheel now works better.

I will have give this a try. Thanks.

There seems to be something with this bird in the sim in general.  Using the freeware Fantasy of Flight scenery add-on located in Florida this plane will not load up.  It just drags and never get's into the sim.  Other aircraft don't have this problem.
