This guy's enthusiasm says it all...  I was VERY surprised to see VARJO so quickly address the consumer market.  $2k for what you are getting actually isn't too bad really... 

 

When someone makes a headset at this quality at £500 there going to make a killing, it will literally be the new standard for flying in any SIM. Maybe we’re still a few years off that but, I can wait.

I recall stating early last year that the VR tech is not yet fully mature, I was called out quite a bit on that comment.  I still stand by that statement at the time it was made.  I do realize that this unit actually establishes a good base 'standard' and is a deployable technology.  I think now we just have to wait a few years for this to reach a consumer cost level for wide spread use.  Good times ahead for sure.
