  1. Understood. My question is with respect to getting an idea of when certain region cities will be done... And... the best place to reach out to Asobo in the hopes of getting a more concrete understanding.
  2. Thanks Ryan. Yes, I've got my eye on this rendition of KHSV - a massive improvement over default. Just need the city itself to look right - so many good landmarks here like the Saturn V at the Space and Rocket Center. I grew up in Blaine - wife is from Bloomington. So much has changed since I left in 1990. Except one thing... the Vikings still haven't won a Superbowl!
  3. Thanks for the feedback! Actually, there has been a lot of murmuring recently about Huntsville being in the thick of some amazing new technology (scientists from here being suicided). So... somethings going on. Most don't know that Huntsville has the second largest research park in the world (just behind Silicon Valley)... I was thinking about posting my photogen query on the official MS site to see if I can get some traction there. Does anyone know of any more direct way to get to Asobo to see/answer my question?
  4. A little background: I grew up in Minneapolis, MN for 20 years but now live in Huntsville, AL for the past 25. I currently fly GA almost always with a regional jet thrown in there occasionally. Photogen is always on. I've been flying MS since 1983 on a PC Jr and dreamed of the day I'd see my own city done as it is today. But alas... the dream is almost real BUT... the issue is the scenery is so out of date for Huntsville, AL. Huntsville is now the largest city in AL (surpassing Birmingham). And... its one of the fastest growing cities in the US, so when I fly over it from scenery generated 8+ years ago, I'm teleported back to a place where there were cotton fields instead of roads and sprawling subdivisions and new high-rises, etc... KHSV has also changed alot during that time (it's an international airport)... This city needs a MAJOR update. How are the City updates sequenced? Is there any way to find out when Huntsville will be redone with new imagery that reflects the current reality? I'm hoping for a SE City Regional update that covers Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, etc... Any way to know when these areas will get some love via recent imagery?
  5. I've never owned a Flying Iron plane... I fly the Spit in DCS and I love it so I'm thinking about this being a buy for MS2024 to get better at practicing navigation, etc... What kind of flight model can be expected? Would it be comparable to A2A or Black Square? ?
  6. The part I don't get about all of this is why we need a swapper, etc... Shouldn't that just be something Nvidia puts in their driver settings? Why does it have to be so convoluted/difficult with a 3rd party app?
  7. So... I have to admit I'm way behind the curve on this one but would love to try it. Last time I checked into this I remember thinking how on earth could this be so "difficult" to set properly, etc... It just seemed so kludgy like it is some new graphics tweak that takes a lot of fiddling. That said, is there a clear, easy, simple way to implement things now?
  8. This is pretty scary actually. How can one be in aviation and not know this?
  9. Great news! Yeah, will definitely pay the extra cash for a 2024 native version of the Comanche.
  10. My thoughts exactly... I share your experience and sentiment (minus the part about aerobatics).
  11. Aren't some of my planes (like the A2A Commanche) tied to an MS2020 library? I don't fly 2020 anymore and want to clean up some SDD space. Could there be any regrets?
  12. So, is this on Asobo's list of "todos"? And if so, when is it supposed to be baked in and... Seems like a 3rd party could make that patch-through capability... hmmm....
  13. I enjoy MS2024 but even in 2020, the PG was outdated. I live in Huntsville, AL and the city is changing so fast that about 25% of the city's new development is missing and unfortunately the road near my house that was widened starting in ~2017 is part of that 25% change. Makes me wonder when there will be a fresh set of photos taken to refresh all of the PG... Does anyone know if/when this will happen?
  14. Yeah, I fly MS2024, DCS, IL-2 and X-Plane and after fiddling with the Tobii driver, I found it to be inferior to just using opentrack (older version) with track noir in combination with opentrack. Once I roll to Win11, I'll see if just the newest version of Opentrack does the trick. Anyway, regardless of the sim, I can adjust the profiles for each plane independently with whatever curves are needed and set limits on physical movements possible to match the plane interior constraints, etc... Love it!
  15. Yeah, the Commanche had an installer in the list of Apps off the start menu. So... I just download and reinstall over the previous version?
