  1. The part I don't get about all of this is why we need a swapper, etc... Shouldn't that just be something Nvidia puts in their driver settings? Why does it have to be so convoluted/difficult with a 3rd party app?
  2. So... I have to admit I'm way behind the curve on this one but would love to try it. Last time I checked into this I remember thinking how on earth could this be so "difficult" to set properly, etc... It just seemed so kludgy like it is some new graphics tweak that takes a lot of fiddling. That said, is there a clear, easy, simple way to implement things now?
  3. This is pretty scary actually. How can one be in aviation and not know this?
  4. Great news! Yeah, will definitely pay the extra cash for a 2024 native version of the Comanche.
  5. My thoughts exactly... I share your experience and sentiment (minus the part about aerobatics).
  6. Aren't some of my planes (like the A2A Commanche) tied to an MS2020 library? I don't fly 2020 anymore and want to clean up some SDD space. Could there be any regrets?
  7. So, is this on Asobo's list of "todos"? And if so, when is it supposed to be baked in and... Seems like a 3rd party could make that patch-through capability... hmmm....
  8. I enjoy MS2024 but even in 2020, the PG was outdated. I live in Huntsville, AL and the city is changing so fast that about 25% of the city's new development is missing and unfortunately the road near my house that was widened starting in ~2017 is part of that 25% change. Makes me wonder when there will be a fresh set of photos taken to refresh all of the PG... Does anyone know if/when this will happen?
  9. Yeah, I fly MS2024, DCS, IL-2 and X-Plane and after fiddling with the Tobii driver, I found it to be inferior to just using opentrack (older version) with track noir in combination with opentrack. Once I roll to Win11, I'll see if just the newest version of Opentrack does the trick. Anyway, regardless of the sim, I can adjust the profiles for each plane independently with whatever curves are needed and set limits on physical movements possible to match the plane interior constraints, etc... Love it!
  10. Yeah, the Commanche had an installer in the list of Apps off the start menu. So... I just download and reinstall over the previous version?
  11. How does one update to 0.9.2? There is nothing about an update at the A2 site.
  12. Agreed. Over the years it seemed like Scott was the owner of the company and had several planes that he flew to help test out the "Accusim method" that separated A2A from other developers... And with the enthusiasm in which he approached the technical piece, one would have imagined him laboring over the code late at night to ensure it "performed just right, the Accu-sim way". The attention to detail / feel of an A2A plane has always been astounding - the A2A planes just have "character" and feel real. I always appreciated Scott's enthusiasm for the brand. Guessing now that Scott is independently wealthy and does A2A planes for a side hustle for a few hundred K per year of "fun money". He's always been the voice of the company.
  13. I'm especially interested in comments about the FM. Does anyone know if A2A has made their own "external FM" as they typically do that interacts with the MS FM (like the Commanche) or have they opted for using the native FS 2024 FM code instead? The Commanche just "felt right". It felt "heavy" like it should - definitely flying through the air but not like a kite with no mass/inertia. Landing approaches to touchdown just felt right. Wondering how the Aerostar's FM feels.
  14. Per subject title... I tried it last night and it "just felt better"... Going to do some more testing this week and was looking for other's thoughts on any improvements they can quantify. See the info below from Flysimware's Discord for the 414 where you can get the new flight_model.cfg file [9:57 PM]-Momo: @C414AW Info We have an update flight dynamics and want feedback with the community before official release. We have updated two major topics. First is the MOI (moment of inertia) for the yaw, roll and pitch. We know have a very realistic method to get the accurate values. All three values now have more MOI so it should feel slightly heavier. Second we have fixed the CFD (computational fluid dynamics) to no longer cause oscillation when you have a heavy aft payload. This allowed us to move the CG slightly back removing the nose heavy current version. So you can expect very balanced landing and you can expect excellent balance at all phases of the flight.
  15. Looks like a great plane for the collection. Any guesses on how the FM fidelity will be for this add-on?
