October 23, 20214 yr Suddenly my P3d V4.5 has stopped scanning my airplanes file...When I try to change aircraft the planes never come up on the screen for me to choose...It just sits there...I need help! Is there any .cfg type file I can delete/edit to make the program re-scan the planes? Thanks! Steve Steve 7 Miles NW of KGCK
October 23, 20214 yr Moderator Steve, I've had a look and I can't see an vehicle.cfg in v5 which should be the same as v4. All the vehicles (default and 3rd party) are held in C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Simobjects. See what you have there. The easiest solution would be to run the client.msi and see if it offers you the option of a repair. If it doesn't then uninstall and reinstall the client. The client.msi file is available in the Download section of your account at P3D. Ray (Cheshire, England). System: P3D v5.3HF2, Intel i9-13900K, MSI 4090 GAMING X TRIO 24G, Crucial T700 4Tb M.2 SSD, Asus ROG Maximus Z790 Hero, 32Gb Corsair Vengeance DDR5 6000Mhz RAM, Win 11 Pro 64-bit, BenQ PD3200U 32” UHD monitor, Fulcrum One yoke, Fulcrum Throttle Quadrant. In addition there are the add-on.xml files in the installed addon packages. Be mindful that when you just delete config files, P3D will only rebuild the default version of that file. If there were any addons in the config file, they will be gone. Edited October 24, 20214 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI
