Photographic Scenery compatibility with MFS 2020

Featured Replies

I am now in my late 80s, and since retiring from active flying in 1990 (8 years RAF/ 32 years BOAC/BA) I have been actively involved with all of Microsoft products

excluding MSF 2020. Having been used to normal scenery throughout over 40 years of flying, I do prefer the option of the likes of VFR Photographic Scenery GEN X.

I use this combination with P3Dv4 since the demise of FSX, but I do object to having to pay a large sum for the updates.

My question - Is VFR Photographic Scenery GEN X ever going to be compatible with MFS 2020, because I can't adapt to computer generated scenery.  roytc

Well, unless I'm misunderstanding the question, it doesn't need to be made compatible because the entire world in MSFS 2020 already has photographic scenery as standard. It looks great!

Hello roy.  As said above; MSFS 2020 has really made all those sort of scenery add-ons redundant.

This is a quick spin around three ex-RAF airfields on the Devon/Somerset border.  I live around here and know the area intimately.

If I had a criticism of the sim as it stands visually I'd say it's a bit too keen on replacing what I know to be agricultural buildings - tin cowsheds - with two storey office blocks and I've never visited an airfield that has trees within it's perimeter!
