November 2, 20214 yr Hi All I have had reason to uninstall and re-install the sim from the original box CD version. However each time I try I get the following warning and the download from CD to PC crashes: Default D:\data3.cab Data error (cyclic redundancy Check) Grateful for any advice please?
November 2, 20214 yr Hello, Clean your Dvd ! If you get the same error, try to clean your DVD reader with a DVD cleaning kit
November 2, 20214 yr Or, if it's a Store buy, and since you installed it once already, you already redeemed the code, then simply go to the Store account used for the original redeem / install and install the sim online. It'll ask you only for disk 1 for validation, but the sim will be fetched from the network. It's an heavy download - be aware .... ( probably the reason why you opted for the DVD version, but I noticed that mine took a long download for the intiial update, so, there wasn't really a noticeable advantage on having it in DVDs...
