November 5, 20214 yr Hi All. i would like to try MCE with FS2020 and PF3 but every time I complete the install wizard I am told the trial has ended even though it never started. I have a dual boot PC and I get the same result on both Windows 10 OSs and also on a laptop I have not used for months. I would like to see how well MCE integrates with PF3 and FS2020 but all I got from MCE support was quite a rude reply when I queried the installation system. Any help appreciated. Thank you. PS Too many pop up ads here!
November 6, 20214 yr Commercial Member This isn't aimed at John but rather to explain why the Demo doesn't work sometimes. We have been in business for way more than a decade. Nowadays, some people love to take charge of their system, overriding folders permissions, installing blockers, registry cleaners and things like that. Under those conditions, MCE may try to read something somewhere and that could potentially fail (Windows or anti-malware blocking the opearation) causing it to err on the side of caution and stop the Demo right there. Others try setting the clock back (which let's be honest is tempting and not a crime per se), but it would end the Demo immediately. Obviously can't go into details on all the scenarios that are covered, but suffice to say, if you just formatted your drive, left Windows UAC at default settings, and didn't perform heavy securing operations nor override folders permissions, you'll get your 3 days or 30 runs Demo period. And it won't modify your flight simulator files either. Not even "panel.cfg" nor "Aircraft.cfg". Others, just give MCE a miss until you have the opportunity to re-format C drive. Do NOT do it for the sake of the Demo though.. There is no way you can explore all MCE capabilities within the 3 days time frame. You'd need to own 50 payware planes, 3 simulators, and 3 ATC systems. The main purpose of the Demo.... - Ensure user has the pre-requisits to run our software in terms of ability to install English US language pack on non-native English systems (English Windows versions have it by default). This way, we won't tell you to re-install Windows or upgrade to Pro version is some cases (Say Greek windows 7 Home edition) - Ensure user has a decent headset and ambient noise conditions to make it an enjoyable experience rather than a hindrance. So we won't ask you to buy a better headset or move the PC to a quieter room AFTER purchase - Ensure Non Native English speakers accent is acceptable to the English US speech engine. You don't need a typical American accent nor be fluent in English, but you are expected to know what a pitot probe or yaw damper are. So we won't have to tell you to take Aviation lessons. You can even teach your crew to understand your native language, slang or ANY language for that matter if you wish (Voxscript feature has a little advertized translation capability). It would be much easier and better financially to deprive people from Demo, pay some popular and influencer youTuber to make a very short teaser and appealing video where you give the illusion the software is going to turn you into a real world captain instantly. And this is why we have close to 100% satisfaction. Every single copy is sold the hard way, to someone who knows what he's getting into. Now of course you can trust what the others are saying about their experience with MCE. It is guaranteed to work once you have your unique and valid activation file inside MCE installation folder. If we can't get it to run ourselves via a remote desktiop support session within 5 working days, a refund is guaranteed. Only happened once in 10+ years though. 🙂 To everyone using MCE over the years, thank your for your support. Edited November 11, 20214 yr by FS++ Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com
November 11, 20214 yr Author Having tried many times to get the demo to run past the initial install without success, support sent me a link to MCE LITE and a licence file to, hopefully, overcome my problem. Even that has failed after 3 days so I am still unable to evaluate MCE. If MCE was priced at about £30 I might take a punt but £60 is expecting too much from me. In all the years I have run PCs this is the first demo to never work. A shame as there obviously many satisfied customers. Posting here because my Plusnet email is down.

The record shows you were sent a key last Sunday and you didn't report any issue since. Maybe your mail server rejected the attached key. Let me know if it's the case. November 12, 20214 yr Author Hi. I am unable to use email as the Plusnet servers are down. I can receive but not send hence my delay. Yes, I installed MCE Lite with FS9 and have run out of trial period. Is the licence tied to a particular PC? If so, that may be the problem as I have FS9 and FS2020 on a separate Windows 10 OS from my 'main' PC. It is a dual boot system. I requested the demos and licence from my main PC but used them on the FS2020 OS. Can that be the cause of the problem? I could receive another licence key if that is possible. Thank you

Thank you No woder it doesn't work. The key is tied to hardware. On a dual boot, the C drive would typically be different hardware among other things. You cannot use Lite Edition with MSFS or P3D either. It will start, then look for FSX or FS9 and even check which plane is loaded. If it's anything other than Microsoft or Dovetail default planes it will abort. Ultimate Edition supports 50+ planes (that's where that decade plus of continuous development went into), not counting default or small fish like Carenado or A2A planes. The ATC feature will work with ANY plane for instance. In FS9, it aupports many payware planes too. It is guaranteed to work with a valid license file for the machine ID you submitted, and provided you stick to default planes in Lite Edition's case. I get why you think the asking price for Ultimate Edition appears to be steep. But if you knew what is actually built-in you would realize it's a steal and the reason it's never discounted. Already supports all ASOBO planes, FlyByWire mod, CJ4 mod, Aerosoft CRj, CS 777 in MSFS, with more planes to be interfaced over time and coming as free updates. Think PMDG 737, PMDG 777, PMDG 747, QW 787 which are already well supported under Prepar3D, FSX. Perhaps if we adopted a more aggressive commercial approach, people would give use more credit. And I am only listing the most popular ones. MCE for MSFS Flybywire developer edition US$ 25 MCE for MSFS Aerosoft CRJ US$ 25 MCE for MSFS default planes US$ 25 MCE for PMDG 737 NGX US$ 25 MCE for PMDG 737 NGXu second coming with discount US$ 15 😛 MCE for PMDG 777 NGX US$ 25 MCE for PMDG 747 QOTS US$ 25 MCE for PMDG MD-11 US$ 25 MCE for FsLabs A3X series US$ 25 MCE for Aerosoft A3X series US$ 25 MCE for Aerosoft CRJ US$ 25 MCE for Quality Wings 787 US$ 25 MCE for Quality Wings 757 US$ 25 MCE for Quality Wings BAe 146 Avrojet US$ 25 MCE for CS L011 Tristar US$ 25 MCE for CS 777 US$ 25 MCE for CS 767 US$ 25 MCE for CS 757 US$ 25 MCE for CS 737 US$ 25 MCE for MaddogX US$ 25 MCE for Coolsky DC-9 US$ 25 MCE for iFly 737 US$ 25 MCE for iFly 747 US$ 25 MCE for Majestic Dash 400 US$ 25 MCE for TFDi 717 US$ 25 MCE for Just Flight 146 US$ 25 MCE for Feelthere ERJ 135 & 145 (and Embraer series) US$ 25 MCE PF3 ATC voice integration edition US$ 15 MCE Radar Contact ATC voice integration edition US$ 15 Voice control for Native ATC US$ 15 GSX voice control US$ 10 AES voice control US$ 10 .... I let you do the math... It includes 10 human recorded voice packs with 4600+ recordings per co-pilot. That's close to 50000 recorded audio when you include Mechanic, ramp agents and pursers recordings All that is built into one single constantly maintained product and at a much deeper level than anything out there, not a generic solution, simply because morally we cannot bring ouselves to indulge into such scheme, and make products out of thin air. One installation, fly any Microsoft based flight sim with your favorite payware plane, for recurrent training or simply for fun. We do have a separate product for X-Plane (23 complex planes supported so far) and that's because programming for that platform is a completely different excercise The 2 to 3 months it takes to add support to another plane is nothing compared to years buildiing and perfecting a genuine fully interactive and enjoyable crew simulation, and not a "scripted adventure" where you are told when to get into action and exactly what you need to say (in cluding "the", "is" in the middle of the sentence). That's not voice control, more like "voice coercion" and robotic behaviour which you'll get tired of after a while. We give you freedom to interact with your crew exacly as "you see fit", including rehearsing your own real world airline checklist if you need to. It's the closest you can get to "shared cockpit nirvana" with a co-pilot who has multiple type ratings. Ask the co-pilot to perform what you want, when you want and using the speech that suits you best for natural interaction, not reaching out to the manual in order to work out what you need to speak next and in which sequence (not fun at all). Here is another example. Our co-pilots are alrady trained to handle PMDG 737. That means, the speech reco side, integration via the SDK, procedures, audio that needs to be output are already there. It's just a matter of guiding the Fo to control the switches and dials for the MSFS version that will come out later. Maybe other users have things to say (don't be shy folks 😉). I cannot add more Edited December 15, 20214 yr by FS++ typo Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com
November 12, 20214 yr Author Thank you for the sales pitch, which to be honest, I did not need. It would have helped avoid much frustration and angst if your website stated that the licence is tied to specific hardware. This occurred to me at 3am! So, can you supply me with another link to MCE Lite so I can download it from the hardware (OS) that it will be installed on? Thank you.
