November 6, 20214 yr I have been using P3D for over a year plus now - and more than satisfied with it as a simulator then somedays you discover something you never noticed before which you have never noticed and what is that? The Nav Log is dynamic (to a point). I like it as quick kneeboard to fly by using the plan I have pre prepared via Navigraph. I was doing a long over water flight in a slow piston and so you have time on your hands. Looking at the navlog I then noticed that it had logged my departure time in the Time Off column and that it was also logging the actual flight times at each sector, shown beneath the planned time. No calculated estimate times, not that important (thats what the GPS is for) but I guess I never noticed that it was doing that before, actually keeping a timed log of the flight on the kneepad! Second thing was staring out the cockpit window at the Atlantic ocean below, looking for some of Hendriks ships to pass by, I zoomed closer and noted that the waves were moving and here and there a small white wave crest would break. So the ocean is dynamic and in real time keeping pace with the weather being injected. Just goes to show what clever programming is actually buried in this system.
