November 8, 20214 yr One of my favorite tools when flying in high terrain environments is the Terrain Mode of the PNS GTN750 mod. It really helps me maintain situational awareness as far as the best paths to maintain safe clearance or to get advanced warning when altitude or flight path should be adjusted. It was quite handy on this flight in a mountainous region of Peru. At this point I am seeing terrain along my flight path that is within 1,000 to 1,500 ft. of my current altitude. Randall Rocke
