November 8, 20214 yr Since the latest release, I have been seeing a lot of stutters, particularly around dense cities and highly detailed payware airports. It is not unflyable, but pretty close, After the latest update, I increased the LOD to 400 so I know that might be causing things to stutter, so I know i can turn that down a bit. My question is, what are some of the visual settings that you can put to high, that won't sacrifice much visually, but will help with smoothness and performance? For example, I have read that there isn't much visual difference between Ultra clouds and high, so you should keep them at high. Is there anything else I can tweak before changing back the LOD? November 8, 20214 yr render scaling effects the sim a lot. anything higher than 100 will cause fps loss. I like mine at 120 but I don't have the best system so if you have a high end computer system you should be fine with it. (for reference I have a gtx1070ti which is lower end by todays standard) Kind regards, Tim CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K (OC 4.7) CPU COOLER: Noctua nh-d15S GPU: Nvidia GTX 1070-Ti FTW2 8GB SSD: Crucial MX500 1TB HDD: Seagate 500GB - Maxtor 250GB - WD 250GB RAM: Team Vulcan 16 GB MBD: Gigabyte Z370P D3 PSU: Evga 650w OS: Win 10 Pro
November 8, 20214 yr Isn't Lod 400 overkill for your computer? I can't run 400 without stutters with mine either, I think LOD is CPU related, so setting lower graphics wont help, maybe lower the cockpit glass rendering will help a bit.
