Is it possible to run beta version alongside the full version?  When I tried to install beta it failed to initialize database because it was already created.  I would not necessarily want to override stable version database with beta in case there are major bugs with beta and I would want to go back to latest stable release.  

The beta version is an update, with no data.

You could install the full current version to a different location, then update it with the beta.

Then you could run one or the other without a problem.
