November 20, 20214 yr Since SU7, The distance at which terrain and buildings load into view has been drastically reduced. I am running ULTRA with everything maxed out. For example, before the update I could basicially see a large portion of the Los Angeles basin and it would have all been populated with buildings, trees, etc. Now it only loads a few miles around my aircraft. My internet speed is excellent. I did all the usual things like deleting my Community folder, updating drivers, deleting rolling cache etc. Could there be a setting I am missing?

You mean you don't seem them at all or they are of low quality (like melted PG)? Try without internet connection (or turn bing data off) and see if that changes anything (like buildings and trees are visibile again). If it does, it sounds like a server problem. I assume you also already tried with an empty community folder? For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Also, another thing I noticed when lining up for takeoff is the runway centerline markings get fuzzy after the first two or three stripes. Not at home atm, but I'll try turning off bing and see what that does.

Anisotropic filtering and Trilinear optimization are the settings that affect that. Either in the sim, or in NVidia 3D settings, set Anisotropic filtering to 16x. Note: If you set Anisotropic filtering in the sim to 16x, in NVidia 3D settings set Anisotropic filtering to Application Controlled. Conversely, if you set it in NVidia 3D settings to 16x, turn it off in sim. Only in NVidia 3D settings, set Trilinear optimization to OFF. ...jim ASUS Prime Z790-E, Intel i9 13900K, 32Gb DDR5 Ram, Nvidia 3090 24Gb, Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500 GB and 1 TB, Samsung Odyssey G9 Ultrawide 49" G-SYNC Monitor.

I was playing around with the NVidia settings before the update. I reset everything to default and now it appears to be back to normal. I was quick to blame Asobo and in this case it may have been me. @JimBrownThank you so much!
